Dariusz Piasecki joined the UGZAR team in Iraqi Kurdistan for four seasons (2013-2016) taking part in the field activities and documenting artefacts. Many of his photos reflect his fascination with people, their culture and customs. One of his pictures won the "Photo of the Year" award in the photography competition of the "Current Archaeology Magazine (2015).
